Your Food Should Taste Good
You know the taste of a homegrown tomato? How that balance of tangy and sweet bursts over your tongue as you bite into a sun-ripened red fruit…
Or the satisfying crunch of a well balanced salad mix: baby romaine, butterhead and frisse, freshly tossed and drizzled with olive oil and balsamic…
Or the particular sweetness of a carrot harvested just after a frost, when its sugars condense and the flavor livens…
If you’ve never tasted fresh, locally grown veggies, you’re in for a treat. And if you have…well, you know what we’re talking about.
At Good Heart, eating your vegetables isn’t a chore — it’s a revelation.
Your Food Should Be Good
Good food isn’t just about being organic or local. It’s not just about the nutrient density or flavor profile.
It isn’t only about the soil, or the interaction between roots, stems, and leaves, the buzzing of beneficial insects, the landscape of biodiversity, or the joy of the grower.
It’s about all of these things combined.
In short, good food is about heart.
When the soil is in good heart, it’s alive and healthy. When people are in good heart, they’re healthy and happy.
Your Food Should Do Good
Our mission to make local food accessible to everyone, no matter your income.
That’s why we put 10% of each full-priced Farm Share sold toward subsidized shares for low-income individuals and families.
We call this the Good Heart Fund — Because everyone deserves to eat well.
We also partner with the NOFA-VT Farm Share Program, which helps us subsidize Farm Shares for low-income Vermonters
After all, food tastes better when it’s shared with many. And people are happier with full bellies. There it is again — happiness springing up from the soil.
