The past week and a half has been full with broadforking, seeding, and transplanting. The garden is getting bigger by the day, and despite the dip back into early spring frosty temperatures the past two days, everything is looking great.

The garden is not the only thing that has been transforming, though. Mary Lake, a talented and caring shearer, came on the 5th to take the winter coats off our sheep.

The sheep have been transitioning back onto pasture over the past week, and aside from some escapes from the fence and sheep-escapades, we are all happy they are back out there eating fresh grass and moving across the field.

The chickens have also been ramping up their egg production, so stop by for some farm fresh eggs, $4/dozen. We feed certified organic grain and pasture raise our chickens. Eggs will be on sale at our CSA pick-ups every Thursday beginning in June, or you can call and stop by the farm to pick some up through the week.

Our first CSA pick-up will be June 7th, and there’s still time to sign up for a share! A small share is perfect for a couple, a large share for a family of four, or you can try out our farm stand share by committing to spend $100/month and receive a 10% discount on your purchases. Now it’s back out to the field for me. Enjoy this beautiful spring day!
