The fields may be sleeping, but between seed catalogs, garden maps, farm store planning, and perennial dreaming, we’re keeping quite busy!
This time of year is filled with planning for us, and we’ve got no shortage of ideas for the coming years. So many ideas, in fact, that as we set this year’s goals, we are also planting seeds for our longer term vision. We’ll share more of that as we get it out of our hearts and heads and onto paper, but for now I can say that we are inspired by perennials, permaculture, fruit, and the connection between farm and community.
We are excited to announce the date for the 4th annual Farmstead 5K, which will be held on Saturday, February 27th. Mark your calendars and come out for a romp in the woods! This is a fundraiser for the Vermont Farm Share Program, which helps us offer subsidized CSA shares to limited-income Vermonters. We hope you can join us!
We’ll have CSA sign-up information at the 5K, and in the meantime you can head over to our website, where you can sign up for a 2016 Veggie & Herb share, or buy Farm Stand Credit to use June-December.
