CSA Pick-up 9/12 and 9/15
T-shirt Fundraiser Update: TWO DAYS LEFT! As of this morning, we’ve sold 54 shirts and raised $700! Every dollar will go to subsidizing CSA shares for limited-income families in our community.
Over the past three years, in partnership with the NOFA-VT Farm Share Program, we’ve subsidized shares for 6 – 7 families each summer and fall season. This year, we had more applicants for a subsidized share than we could serve, and so we began looking for new ways to raise money. As one friend who supported this current fundraiser said, “I didn’t buy a shirt. I invested in our future and got a free shirt…it’s a sweet deal!”
Why does it matter that local food is accessible to limited-income Vermonters? We believe that everyone deserves access to nourishing food, and that the food we eat informs our lives. Food is the foundation that fuels us to follow our passions and to offer our best selves to the world. No matter how much money a person has, everyone has something to offer; everyone deserves the ability to be filled and nourished.

Save the Date for our 3rd Annual Farm Pizza Night: Friday, September 16 5:00-9:00. $15 suggested donation. All proceeds benefit the NOFA-VT Farm Share Program. This is a wonderful time to visit the farm, take a tour, and eat delicious pizza topped with farm-made sauce, veggies, and local cheese. Thanks to our friends at WoodBelly Pizza for donating the use of their mobile pizza-oven. You can find them at the Montpelier Farmers Market serving up fresh slices every Saturday!
*We are looking for some volunteers to help with parking, welcoming, serving and cleaning up at the Pizza Night. 1 hour shift counts as your donation! Email us if you’d like to volunteer.
