CSA Pick-up 9/26 and 9/29
Coming up on the Farm: Oven-Building Workshop
this Friday through Sunday, join us for a wood-fired oven building workshop, led by local mason Duffy Gardner. Details and registration on our website: special events
We came home from the Adirondacks slightly tired but with a new space in ourselves, as we always hope to gain from time away. And as it was good to go away, it was so good to come home and cozy up with the season’s first of many soups to come. It occurred to me as I sautéed shallots, garlic and celery that while “sweater weather” is fun to say, it’s really soup weather that makes me excited for the autumn season.
I’ll keep this newsletter on the short side, as it’s already Sunday night and we’ll be heading out to the fields early tomorrow morning, but do want to give you theharvest list for this coming week:
- Carrots or Beets
- Onions/Shallots/Garlic
- Spinach or Arugula
- Lettuce Heads
