This week’s Winter Harvest + a Taste of Spring

Guess what?  Edge is sowing the first tomato seeds of the year today!

While it will still be quite some time before we slice into a Rose de Berne (my all around favorite tomato), the simple act of planting seeds brings a new kind of energy.

It’s as if I can feel the season shifting from solid winter into the whispers of spring.  Despite the snow that covered up last week’s warm weather, the movement of spring has sprouted here at the farm.

You’ll get a taste of spring with the greens, herbs and scallions in this week’s share.  Plus, we’re bringing in a treat for you: apples from Champlain Orchards!  Check out the apple & carrot superhero muffins below.

Speaking of Spring, the Spring CSA is over 75% full.

Sign up for your share today, and get a season’s worth of fresh, organic veggies. The share begins on March 21st and includes seasonal harvests including spinach, chard, lettuce, tender roots like salad turnips and radishes, and more.

This week’s Harvest List:
