Learn to grow fresh food in your own backyard!
We are excited to announce our Beginning Gardening Workshop on Saturday, April 4th! The workshop will be held at the Worcester Town Hall from 9:30-12:00.
As part of our mission to increase local food accessibility, this workshop is FREE for CSA members, and is a $0-$15 sliding scale for non-members. All proceeds from the workshop will go to the Vermont Farm Share Program to help us offer subsidized shares.
The Beginning Gardening Workshop is geared toward those who are starting a garden for the first time, or who have gardened for a few years and would like to learn more.
What We’ll cover:
-how to choose and order seeds
-seed starting
-garden design.
If you already have a garden or site planned, you are invited to bring a map of it to work on. You’ll leave with hand-outs on seed starting and a vegetable planting guide.
Education and community events have always been part of our plan at Good Heart, and as we go into our third season we are looking forward to becoming even more of a community farm–a place where close and distant neighbors can come to learn, connect with food, land and each other, and feed their bodies, minds, and spirits.
We hope to see you at the workshop on Saturday, April 4th! Please sign-up on our website by March 29th: Beginning Gardening Workshop Sign-Up
